Visit: Addis Ababa- Bahir Dar - Gondar - Lalibela
This Ethiopian adventure begins and concludes in Addis Ababa
Our first stop to the historic route is Bahar Dar, the picturesque town set on the shores of Lake Tana. You will visit the island monasteries and the Blue Nile Falls
Continue to Gondar you will visit the ancient churches and castles, remnants of a bygone Ethiopian Empire
Proceed to the Simien Mountains National Park is located in the northern edge of the central plateau of Ethiopia overlooking the Tekeze Gorge. It is a part of Simien mountains massif in Northern Ethiopia, which lies at elevations between about 2000m and 4543 m of above sea label, taking in Ras Dejen, the highest peak of the Horn of Africa. The park is found in the northern parts of the North Gondar Zone of the Amhara National Regional State.
The geographic location extends from 1309’57” to 13019’58” North latitude and from 37054’48” to 38024’43” East longitude. With its present total area of about 13,178 hectare, the park lies in three woredas of the zone, namely, Debark, Adiarkay and Janamora. The Simien Mountains National Park is one of the smallest national parks in Ethiopia with a core area of around 140km2. The Simien Mountains National Park is 130 km from Gondar, the capital of North Gondar zone of ANRS and about 882km from Addis Ababa. It covers both the highlands and the lowlands. The steep escarpments separating these two significant landscapes were formed by volcanic activities and subsequent erosion over millions of years. They give the mountain scenery spectacular appearance.
Visit Lalibela, the world-heritage-listed town by UNESCO set high in craggy mountains. Lalibela is renowned for its 12th and 13th century.
Arrival into Addis Ababa, meet your guide and transfer to the hotel
Later in the afternoon enjoy a brief city tour of Addis Ababa, we stop at sites such as the national museum, Merkato, Trinity cathedral and Entoto
Return to the hotel .Rest of the evening at leisure with overnight stay

At 10:30 hrs depart Addis Ababa.11:30 Arrival into Bahir Dar.There is an earlier 07:30am flight option .Upon arriving in Bahir Dar, meet your guide and transfer to your hotel .Post check in, transfer to the boat jetty for your boat trip over Lake Tana on a boat ride where you will visit to the medieval period island monasteries, beautiful mural paintings, religious books & sacred, on Lake Tana such as: Kibran Gabriel (only for men), Entos and on the Zegien peninsula visit Ura Kidan Mehiret, Azuwa Mariam, Mahal Giorgis.Arrive at the hotel late afternoon and enjoy the rest of the day at leisure .Dinner at the hotel
After breakfast at the hotel .Meet your guide and today we visit the Blue Nile Falls .In the afternoon enjoy a city tour of Bahirdar city tour including a drive to Bezawit palace for panoramic view of the city of Bahirdar, Lake Tana, Blue Nile river and best sus set view. Return to the hotel .Dinner at the hotel. Overnight stay.
After breakfast at the hotel.Today we leave Bahir Dar, meet your guide and transfer to Gondar .Check in and refresh at your hotel, then meet your ESG and visit the Royal Castles & the Bath of Emperor Fasiledes (the bath is filled with water for the important Timkat (epiphany) ceremony once a year. You will continue your visit to Debre Birhan Selassie Church (Trinity at the Mount of Light), the Castle of Empress Mintewab, and Kuskwam Complex which is a royal compound built by the Empress Mentewab
Return to the hotel for some leisure time .Dinner at the hotel , with overnight stay.
After breakfast at the hotel ,Enjoy a morning drive to Semien Mountain to visit the marvelous scenery of the Semien Mountain , the endemic animals of Walya Ibex, Chilada Baboon and birds. Five Kms from Gonder you will see the old village of the black Jewish.
We will spend day in the semien mountain around Sankaber campsite. Sankaber lies within the Park and found at an altitude of 3825msl. It is the place to see troops of Gelada Baboon on the way.These are a different primates found only in Ethiopia and live on vegetables and soft roots. Walk to the wonderful view points around Sankaber. Walk to Jimbar Waterfalls and then drive back to Gonder .Return to the hotel .Dinner at the hotel , with overnight stay.
After breakfast at the hotel, meet your guide and transfer to the airport for your onward flight to Lalibela .At 10:00 Depart Gondar , at10:30 Arrival into Lalibela, meet your ESG and transfer to your hotel, refresh and later meet your ESG and visit the eleven Rock-hewn Monolithic (carved from a single rock) Churches of Lalibela (UNESCO World heritage site, with magnificent architecture & paintings inside the churches). Return to the hotel .Dinner at the hotel
After breakfast at the hotel.Check out and transfer to the airport for your onward flight to Addis Ababa . At10:00 Depart Lalibela .11:00 Arrival into Addis Ababa .there are various times available for this route
