Masai Mara
No trip to Kenya is complete without a visit to the great Masai Mara. Lake Nakuru
Popular for the pink Flamingos that throng the waters of Lake Nakuru-, this wide spread water body is a home ground for many other birds as well. Often called the Bird Watcher’s Paradise, the lake is nestled in between bushy and wooded grasslands and contains a wide ecological system within it including the white and black rhino, hippos, lions, leopards and also the endangered Rothschild's giraffes. Enjoy the picturesque view acacia forest, waterfalls and the rocky escarpments while feasting your eyes on the dainty Flamingos.
Amboseli
World renowned for the breathtaking sight of hundreds of tusked Elephants, Amboseli is one of the elite national parks in Kenya. Set against the magnificent background of Mt Kilimanjaro, this park hosts other animals like Zebra and the wildebeest too. If you are lucky you might sight the elusive Leopard, the grand lion and the majestic Zebras as well. This park also has the unique distinction of being home to 370 varieties of birds species.
Samburu
The most popular national park in Norther part of Kenya, Smaburu, is divided by the Ewaso Ngiro River- a magnet for animals who are often sighted quenching their thirst on the river banks. You can spot rare species of animals and birds in this park such as the Grevy's zebras, blue-legged Somali ostrich, reticulated giraffe, gerenuk – gazelles and the beisa oryx.
Mt Kenya
This snow capped equatorial peak is an African marvel. It is the second highest peak in Africa. Its ragged peaks are covered with snow while its slopes are densely covered with forests. You could scale it or simply stare at it in awe. The forest is ideal for gaming as well. You can spot varied wildlife and birds, giving the wildlife enthusiasts another gaming park to explore.
