(Morning) Half day Cusco tour: Cathedral, Qoricancha Inca Temple and San Blas church.
At the scheduled time, we will begin the exploration of the Imperial City. We will start with a visit to one of the most impressive buildings of Incan Cusco: the Qoricancha (the Golden Temple) - a temple dedicated to the worship of the Sun God, whose interior walls were said to have been covered in gold. Then, we will stroll through the Main Square, where we will discover the Cathedral and admire its exquisite vestibules and priceless paintings from the Cusco School of the 17th and 18th centuries. Finally, we will visit San Blas, a quaint neighborhood that is home to many renowned artists. Stroll along its cobblestone alleys as we make our way toward its church, which features a beautiful pulpit carved from a single block of wood.
(Afternoon) Half day tour to nearby ruins: Sacsayhuaman Archaeological Park, Qenqo Archaeological Complex, Puca Pucara Fortress and Tambomachay Archaeological Complex.
We will visit the Fortress of Sacsayhuaman a colossal structure built with huge carved rocks jointed with absolute accuracy, this astounding sample of the Incan military architecture is, undoubtedly, the greatest architectonic work of the Tahuantinsuyo. But, in addition, it proves the undeniable firmness of the great administrative capacity of the empire and its powerful logistic system capable of mobilizing and organizing such a work. As of the Spaniards arrival its aspect has changed a lot, since this fortress was used as a hewn stone to build the colonial Cusco. Then we will visit the ancient amphitheater of Quenqo, the so-called ‘Red Fortress’, Puca Pucara and the aqueducts ancient baths of Tambomachay.

Full day tour to Sacred Valley: Pisac Market, Pisac Archaeological Park and Ollantaytambo Fortress. Lunch included.
This morning, we will continue the trip toward the Sacred Valley, a few miles farther along, we will reach Pisac, a beautiful place where Incan and Colonial influences have reached a perfect balance and created the unique way of life of the local inhabitants. We will get a chance to explore this quaint town, famous for its artisan markets where we can find extraordinarily fine jewelry and ceramic and textile craftwork. Few miles away, on the slopes of a mountain, which overlooks the Vilcanota River is the Archaeological Park of Pisac, where we will find andens of different areas and altitudes separate by architectural structures. The most notable of these is the solar calendar (INTIWATANA) that means, “Where the sun is tied”. Finally, we will visit one of the last remaining Incan towns, Ollantaytambo, which was once fiercely guarded by a massive fortress. We will discover the large archaeological complex of what used to serve as a wayside inn for royal delegations on long journeys. Surviving structures here include multiple walls and towers that were used to protect the citadel from possible invasions. We will take lunch at a local restaurant.
