Lunch today is at Talisman Restaurant (included) - OR - if interested, lunch can be arranged at the Karen Blixen Museum. Built in 1929, this is the flagship museum for the National Museums of Kenya, housing celebrated collections of Kenya’s history, nature, culture and contemporary art. Continue to the Daphne Sheldricks Elephant Orphanage (currently closed but will go IF open) You will have the opportunity to learn about the Orphans Project, participate in the Adopt an Elephant Program, and interact with the baby elephants at the nursery. The Orphans’ Project exists to offer hope for the future of Kenya’s threatened elephant and rhino populations as they struggle against the threat of poaching for their ivory and horn, and the loss of habitat due to human population pressures and conflict, deforestation and drought. Time permitting, a stop can be made at Kazuri Beads before returning to your hotel for dinner and overnight stay.

Amboseli National Park is well known for its herds of big tusked elephants. A scenic park in its own right, Amboseli is synonymous with two particular things – majestic herds of elephant and glorious views of Mount Kilimanjaro in neighbouring Tanzania. Kenya’s second most popular national park after the Masai Mara National Reserve, Amboseli was declared a UNESCO-Mab Biosphere Reserve in 1991. During heavy rains, the basin at the centre of the park floods, attracting hordes of wildlife. After early breakfast at 0700 hrs meet your english speaking guide and depart to Ngorongoro Crater for a private game drive with picnic lunch at the crater floor. You will descend into the crater through a lush highland forest, with magnificent birdlife to be spotted among the different tree species. Once on the grassy crater floor, you may discover a large variety of grazing herbivores, as well as the predators that are attracted by this abundant supply of prey. Depending on the time of year, you may see huge flocks of pink flamingo around the shores of the shallow Lake Magadi, while hippo inhabits the surrounding swamp. Arrive to the lodge in time for dinner at 1930 hrs with overnight stay.
