Guest’s will be collected early from Nairobi’s Jomo Kenyatta International Airport or a city hotel and depart for Samburu at 0800hrs, heading north, you'll pass near Thika and continue north through some breathtaking scenery dotted with rushing mountain streams and fields of tea and coffee. After Nanyuki town, you'll continue north and eventually reach a dusty outpost known as Isiolo, the last major stop on the journey into the remote northern frontier district. From here it's a short hop to Samburu. Arrive at the camp in time for lunch before departing for an afternoon game drive returning to the camp as the sun sets. Enjoy game viewing of huge herds of elephant, prides of lion or the solitary leopard amongst other game with an expert local guide by open Land Rover. Leaving Samburu behind, you'll travel south through Isiolo, crossing the northernmost foothills of Mount Kenya, until you get to the town of Nanyuki. Here you'll head west to Nyahururu, still known to many as Thomson's falls for its 237-foot cascade. Now travel in a southerly direction to Lake Nakuru, arriving at the camp in time for lunch. After lunch, enjoy an escorted walk on the grounds of the camp. Overnight at Mbweha Camp on full board basis excluding drinks (see drinks supplement if required) Mbweha Camp Tucked away in the spectacular vastness of The Great Rift Valley on a private 6400-acre Congreve Conservancy, Mbweha Camp is nestled up against the southern border of Lake Nakuru National Park with beautiful views of the Eburu and Mau Ranges. 10 cottages built of lava stone and thatched makuti roof add glamour and style to its contemporary African ambience. Every cottage is surrounded by Candelabra Euphobia, yellow barked Acacia and other indigenous trees that provide a relaxed atmosphere as you listen to the African night sounds of a lion roar or the laughter of the hyena in the distance. Bush walks, night game drives, sundowners or bush breakfast are additional activities that you can enjoy and enhance your stay in truly remarkable and authentic African setting.

After an early breakfast, you head for Njoro town, where you begin your ascent up over the top of the Mau Escarpment. Then, heading due south, travel towards Narok, the gateway to the Maasai Mara and district headquarters of this part of Maasailand. You'll travel across the "breadbasket" of Kenya, covered with acres of wheat and barley, before you reach the Mara in the time for lunch. After lunch, enjoy an afternoon game drive in the famous Masai Mara National Reserve, before returning to the camp as the sunsets. Overnight at Tipilikwani Mara Camp in standard tent on a full board basis excluding drinks (see drinks supplement if required) Tipilikwani Mara Camp Set on the banks of the Talek River overlooking the Mara plains, Tipilikwani Mara Camp has one of the most spectacular views available. The Maasai Mara is home to the wildebeest migration – one of the Seven Natural Wonders of the World - as well as to some of the most abundant wildlife populations in Africa! After an early breakfast you’ll depart the Masai Mara and head across acres of rolling wheat and barley farms to Narok, the district headquarters of this part of Maasailand. From here cross the vast plains on the floor of the Rift Valley whilst keeping an eye out for herds of giraffe and gazelle before heading up the rift escarpment on a road built by Italian prisoners during World War II. You’ll arrive into Kenya’s bustling capital around mid day. On arrival in Nairobi guest will be dropped of at a city center hotel or Jomo Kenyatta airport for their onward flight.

**Luggage

Due to limited luggage space in vehicles, suitcases are unsuitable for road safaris. We recommend luggage packed in inexpensive barrel/sausage bags or soft sided bags not exceeding 15kgs and 65x46 cm.

Excess luggage can be handed over to the representative at time of briefing for storage in Nairobi.  Additional costs per booking will apply to handle excess luggage until your return to Nairobi from the safari. This service can be pre-booked alternatively clients can pay for this directly on the ground.
