After breakfast at your hotel, you'll have a whole day to explore the most attractive place of Bogotá. One of the "must see" places in here is the mountain of Monserrate and its church, with an astonishing view over the city (10,341 ft above the sea level). After this visit, continue exploring La Candelaria, the heart of the historical center and first neighborhood of the city. This is a lovely historic quarter full of churches, renowned museums, and cafés. Lunch not included. Grab a traditional lunch featuring some regional specialties. In the afternoon, visit the Gold Museum (closed on Mondays) to see the world's largest collection of pre-Columbian gold objects. Today will be one of the highlights of your Colombian adventure. After breakfast, you will be picked up on the direction to Cocora Valley With your guide, you'll have a walking beside the Quindío River through cloud forest with grand wax palms of 230 feet (70 m) tall. The wax palm was qualified by the Alexander Von Humboldt Institute as “endangered” as well as the yellow-eared parrots that use those palms to construct their nests. Lunch not included. Grab a traditional lunch, tasting some of the regional specialties, before visiting the nearby villages of Salento and Finlandia. After breakfast, you will be picked up at your hotel to Quimbaya. Once in Quimbaya, take a short 4x4 trip to the nearby pier of La Vieja River. Then, raft down the river on an 18 km course, which reveals its secrets as you progress. After finishing this relaxing trip, there'll be a traditional lunch of sliced meats wrapped in banana leaves waiting for you. In the afternoon, continue your visit to Finca Casa Vieja. Here, you'll join a specialized tour with a local guide through the coffee plantations to learn all about the production and harvesting process. Start the day in the small village of Santa Elena, which is located high up in the mountains of Antioquia less than an hour outside of Medellín. Travel through the green hills to the Peñol Rock in Guatapé, known as one of the most spectacular destinations in the surrounding area of Medellín and climb the 220 m high monolith with a staircase of 740 steps. La Popa sits at a high point in Cartagena, and the views from the monastery are as fabulous as you'd expect — all the way out to the Boca Grande neighborhood and its glittering skyscrapers.
