At your arrival at the airport, you will meet our English-speaking assistant. Your luggage and ski equipment (if brought from Australia) will be transferred directly to your hotel in Hakuba Valley. You will then move to the center of Tokyo by our private coach transfer service from the airport. You will ride on shinkansen from Tokyo station to Nagano station. Today, we head to Tsugaike Kogen Ski Resort, which is the 2nd largest ski resort in Hakuba! It takes less than 20 mins by Hakuba shuttle bus from Cortina Ski Resort (covered by your Hakuba Valley Ticket). From 6/7 PAX and up, we recommend to use a taxi to get there. Free ski day in Hakuba Cortina resort. Make the most of your final day at the ski resort! In the evening, your luggage (and your own equipment if brought from Australia) will be safely transferred to the airport, allowing you to enjoy the rest of the itinerary without large pieces of luggage! This process can take up to 2-3 days at the latest, depending on the weather conditions. Your guide will arrive in the hotel in the afternoon and help you with the luggage transportation! Today, you will leave Hakuba Valley with your guide and discover hidden gems in Nagano prefecture, nestled in the beautiful Japanese Alps mountains! Take advantage of our private taxi (or bus, depending on the number of PAX) and enjoy what the region has to offer to the fullest. Visit Zenkoji Temple and explore its major shrine and beautiful tatami rooms. You are then heading to Shibu Onsen, a charming thermal town with at least a 1300-year history! You will then walk to the nearby Jigokudani Valley, and meet snow monkeys that bathe in the natural hot springs. Always accompanied by your English speaking guide, you will visit the historical city of Matsumoto by public transportation! Explore Nawate's shopping alleys, full of stores selling traditional Matsumoto crafts that have been handed down from generation to generation, creating a distinctive and unique atmosphere! Our final destination is Matsumoto Castle, the symbol of Matsumoto City and the oldest castle in Japan, built in the 1500s. In the evening, you will transfer to Tokyo by express train and shinkansen. Always accompanied by your guide, enjoy your last day in Tokyo at your own pace! We recommend a visit to the East Gardens of the Imperial Palace, a sacred place for the Japanese Imperial Family (free of charge / only 8 mins from Tokyo station / Closed on Mondays and Fridays). No stress about traffic before your flight: our private driver will safely take you to Haneda or Narita airport! Your guide will also assist you until the check-in procedures of your flight.
