Itinerary
Arrival at Muscat International Airport on board (flight details to be advised).
Our representative will meet you in the arrival hall at the airport and you will start the city tour in Muscat, visiting the Grand Mosque (open daily for visitors between 0800 –1100 Hrs., except Fridays/holidays). Dress code – Women should wear attire covering their arms and legs. Women should cover their heads with a scarf. Drive through the Embassy district and along Corniche /Qurum Park to Muttrah. Then visit the Fish and vegetable markets in Muttrah. Feel free to mingle with the crowd. Visit the Muttrah Souk, where you will find a mix of old and new. Sights, sounds, and fragrances are in abundance. You then drive past the Corniche and to the capital area before we take a photo stop at the Sultan’s Palace, flanked by the 16th-century Portuguese forts of Jalali and Mirani. You visit the Bait Al Zubair Museum for a fine display of Omani culture and history. Photo stop at Al Bustan palace roundabout.

09:00hrs: Our tour guide will pick you up from the hotel lobby and start the tour in a 4WD. Travel through the Coast from Muscat to Quriyat and over the plateau down to the narrow coastal track. On the way, you take a photo stop at Bimah sinkhole, a geological wonder. From here it’s a short distance to Fins Beach and continues to Wadi Shab. Take a hike up one of Oman’s scenic wadis. At the end of Wadi Shab, there is a swim through the famous keyhole into the secluded world of thrilling fantasy. Picnic lunch in one of the many shades.
Proceed to visit Wadi Bani Khalid (the “Lost Shangri-La”), one of the most scenic wadis of Oman. Drive past the village with its endless date plantations. Reach the magnificent Wadi. The pools are cool, deep, and absolutely stunning with crystal-clear waters. After spending some time here, continue to the Wahiba Desert.
En route, stop for lunch at a local restaurant on your own expense.
After lunch, you will be driven to the undulating “Golden Sands”. The great Wahiba sands are longitudinal dunes 200 km long and 100 km wide running south from the Eastern Hajars to the Arabian Sea. This is the traditional home of the Bedouin, hardy-spirited people who know how to survive in these harsh desert conditions. The drive to the camp is an exhilarating and adrenaline-filled journey, crossing many sand dunes. Reach the camp and be driven atop a dune after check-in formalities to enjoy the amazing sunset. Return to your camp and enjoy your dinner under the sky.

Breakfast at the Camp, check out, and start your journey through Ibra. On route, take a stop at the abandoned village of Al Mansfah. Much of the charm and character of this old mercantile village has not been washed away yet.
From here, you will head towards Birkat Al Mouz, which translates to “banana pool”. The town is a pleasant oasis at the foot of Jebel Akhdar, ideal for a stroll. Lunch at a local restaurant.
After lunch, you proceed to seek out the Palaces of yesteryear from which sovereign Lords surveyed their Kingdom of Nizwa. Visit the big round fort of the Yaruba dynasty, which is the biggest fort in the Arabian Peninsula. Next, visit the souk showcasing a wonderful array of handicrafts - coffee pots, swords, leather goods, silverware, antiques, and household utensils.
Check in to Al Diyar Hotel for an overnight stay.

After breakfast, you will leave the hotel and visit Bahla with the huge loam fort (photo stop ). Bahla is also known as the pottery capital of Oman. Because of its cultural value, Bahla is placed on UNESCO’s list of heritage monuments.
Next visit is Jebrin Fort, where you will find one of the most magnificent forts of Oman with its painted ceiling, dungeons, and hidden passages. Stop for lunch at a local restaurant.
After lunch, start your journey towards the ancient village of Misfat Al Abriyyin. With mountain terraces filled unusually with palm trees as its backdrop, an intricate falaj irrigation system winding its way around, and stunning views at every turn, the delightful village that this little walk meanders through will take your breath away.
From here, you proceed to Wadi Ghul, where if you drive ahead, you will see the abandoned village on a ledge of an outcrop where two wadis converge. The village is that of Ghul. Up on the right is where the current village lies. The old village goes back to antiquity. From here we drive further to make our way up to Jebel Shams, the “Mountain of the Sun”, from a height of nearly 3000 meters, you will have an outstanding view deep into the ‘Grand Canyon of Oman’. Meet with local weavers and haggle for their wares.

After breakfast, drive to Muscat through the mountains. After a spectacular drive, we reach the beautiful village of Bilad Sayt, where your eyes are treated to an amazing view of Palm groves and terraced gardens between the stone walls. Proceed to Nakhl via Wadi Bani Awf. As you approach Nakhl, keep an eye out for the fortress that sits on a hillock outside the town. The fort’s origin is pre-Islamic, with major contributions by the Al Ya’ruba and the Al Bu Sayed dynasties. We visit the fort. Visit the mineral-laden springs. Relax and enjoy the invigorating waters of Al Thowarah Hot Springs, where water gushes from the rocks and forms a pleasant pool. Lunch at a local restaurant.
Drive towards Muscat and drop you off at your hotel or Muscat International Airport.

-All hotel reservations are subject to room availability at the time of actual confirmation.
-In case, the requested hotel is not available for the travel dates mentioned, an alternate hotel of the same star category would be suggested. However, it would be confirmed only after getting the confirmation from the Tour Operator/client.
-Standard check-in time at the hotels: 1400 hrs. Standard check-out time at the hotels: 1100 hrs.
-We are not holding any bookings now. Confirmation will be subject to availability at the time of booking.
Dress Code During Tours
-Grand Mosque - Women should wear attire covering their arms and legs and should cover their head with a scarf. Men should wear a casual shirt and trousers.
-Swimming in Wadis – Wadis are a public tourist area and hence, they attract both tourists & locals equally. Keeping in mind the country’s culture, all women are requested to wear clothes up to the knees. T-shirts & shorts are fine. However, bikinis only are not recommended.
-Trekking - Take as little as possible as conditions are usually steep and hot. Boots are required and they should be lightweight but beware of the aggressive nature of the rocks. Trekking shoes and light-coloured clothes are advisable.
-During other tours – Smart casuals are suitable, especially if visiting local villages and meeting local people.
