Upon arrival at Dubrovnik airport, transfer to Dubrovnik
port, where embarkation begins at 2 pm. Settle in your
cabin, before attending a Welcome reception followed
by dinner this evening (D)
After breakfast, join us for a morning walking tour of
Dubrovnik, the “Pearl of Adriatic” and a UNESCO World
Heritage site. We visit the Rector’s Palace and the
Franciscan Monastery’s Pharmacy. Afterward, we return to
our ship for lunch. We sail towards the magical island of
Korcula, and its fairy-tale-like walled town bearing the
same name. The birthplace of the explorer Marco Polo is
believed to be here. Our walking tour takes us through
Korcula’s narrow, cobble stone streets and includes a
visit to the majestic Gothic-Baroque Cathedral of St.
Mark. Tonight, enjoy dinner on us in a local restaurant.
(B, L, D)
We sail from Korcula to Hvar, Croatia’s sunniest island
and a delightful seaside resort with 8 centuries of
architecture. On our walking tour, there is a pinescented breeze as we explore the picturesque little
streets of the old town, and the first public theatre in
Europe. There is free time to pop into craft shops or
cafes, tucked into old Venetian palaces. We board our
ship in time for lunch, and cruise to Split. Our afternoon
walking tour features Split’s historic inner city, built
around the Palace of the Roman Emperor Diocletian, a
UNESCO World Heritage Site. Next, we see the remnants
of Split’s Roman heritage, its Renaissance and Gothic
structures, Jupiter’s Temple and its Cathedral. The
evening is at leisure for a stroll along Riva, to taste the
local cuisine and to enjoy some local vistas. (B, L)
In the morning, we sail from Split towards Primosten to
visit the Krka National Park, known for its magnificent
waterfalls. Afterward, we drive by motorcoach to
Vodice, and rejoin our ship there. Lunch is served on
board while we sail to Zadar, a city of exceptional
history and rich cultural heritage. The evening is at
leisure in Zadar. (B, L)
After breakfast, there is a walking tour of Zadar’s
historical center. We admire the 16th century Port Gate
where the Venetian lion still guards the entrance. We
also see the Square of the Five Wells, the Church of St.
Donat, the Roman Forum, and the largest cathedral in
Dalmatia, St. Anastasia. Later on, there is time for
swimming, a short visit and a taste of the traditional
Maraschino liqueur on one of the islands. Lunch is
served aboard en route to Mali Losinj. The evening in
Mali Losinj is at leisure to explore its charming harbor,
and historic sea front. (B, L)
We depart in the morning and enjoy lunch on board. In
the afternoon, we visit Pula, arguably one of the most
beautiful Istrian cities. Our guided tour of Pula is about
antiquity, as we walk in the footsteps of the Romans and
visit the Amphitheatre. The rest of the day is free to
discover this ancient town on your own. Tonight, aboard
our ship, there is the Captain’s dinner with live
entertainment and a glass of wine. (B, L, D)
We continue sailing to the Brijuni National Park, once the
personal State Summer Residence of President Marshal
Josip Broz Tito. On the island, flora, fauna, and heritage
are uniquely and harmoniously blended. Following our
visit, lunch is served on board. Later, we reach the
romantic town of Rovinj. We walk around the Old town’s
winding streets to the foot of the Church of St.
Euphemia, a favorite gathering place of artists from
around the world. Our cruise concludes Porec with
dinner in a local restaurant. Thereafter, we return to our
ship for the last night on-board. (B, L, D)
