Breakfast at the hotel. Today we are waited by acquaintance to the capital. A slow walk will allow you to enjoy local architecture and sights, listen to a rich story about centuries-old history and modern life of the city! We start our walking tour from Sameba Cathedral and Metekhi temple - the last refuge of one of the first martyrs of Christianity - Shushanik. Next we "flight" on the cable car to the ancient fortress "Narikala» (V c.). We continue with "Abanotubani" - district in the old part of the city, famous for its baths complex (XVII-XIX cc.) and typical overhanging wooden carved balconies. It's time to feel cool at the waterfall and touch the history of this place. A bit farther you can see several interesting monuments and "Karvasla"(caravanserai) turned into a city museum. Later you will be amazed by Sioni Cathedral with its stored Christian relics.
From historical antiquities we got to the modern made of glass "Bridge of Peace" - the second in the world by the design complexity. Next stop: the residence of the Patriarch, one of the monuments of Georgian writing and coinage, and the oldest temple of the city - Anchishati. Then there is the bizarre puppet theater of artist, director, writer, screenwriter and sculptor Rezo Gabriadze - the most famous in the post-soviet space as a puppeteer. You will see historical monuments, including the remains of an ancient fortress and walls, to the way to Freedom Square. Then there is a Pushkin Square and the building of the seminary, where Stalin has studied, which is now the Museum of Art. On the square - the symbolic Georgia gilded monument of St. George, a former city hall, hotel "Courtyard Marriot". From it also starts the main avenue of the city - Rustaveli Avenue. This - luxury hotels, beautiful theaters and museums, the legendary church Kashveti, monumental building of the former parliament, the residence of the general governor of the Russian Empire in the Caucasus times Tiflis province, National museum of Georgia, Opera and Ballet theater, theater of Shota Rustaveli, Academy of Sciences, and, of course, the monument to the great Georgian poet Shota Rustaveli.
