Athens and Aegina 8 days

Breakfast at the hotel and day at disposal.You will have the possibility (optional) to visit Acropolis and Museum of Acropolis on your own or in organized tour in English Language or on Private basis in Polish Language. Our expert guide will take you to see the center of the city, the onstitution Square (Syntagma), the House of Parliament (ex. Royal Palace), the Tomb to the Unknown Soldier, Schliemann s House, the Catholic Cathedral, the Academy, the University and the National library. On your way to the Acropolis, you will see the Hadrian’s Arch, St. Paul s Church, the Temple of Olympian Zeus and will have a short stop at the Panathenaic Stadium, where the first Modern Olympic Games were held in 1896. On the Acropolis visit the architectural masterpieces of the Golden Age of Athens: The Propylaea, the Temple of Athena Nike, the Erechtheion with its porch of Maidens and finally “the harmony between material and spirit”, the monument that “puts order in the mind”, the famous Parthenon. continue with visit of the well-known Acropolis Museum, one of the best museums in Europe. After breakfast, morning transfer to the Port of Piraeus. Embarkation to the hydrofoil sailing to Aegina Island. Duration of travel about 1 hour. Arrival at the port of Aegina and transfer to your hotel. Rest of the day at leisure. Even though the island small, it boasts a great number of sights and natural beauties, highlight of which is the famous Aphea Temple. It forms in fact an equilateral triangle with the Parthenon and the Temple of Poseidon at Sounion, the so-called “holy triangle” of the antiquity. Aegina town, the capital of the island, stands out for its well-preserved buildings. On the outskirts you can find charming little villages with distinctive traditional character, such as Kypseli, Agii and Vagia as well as organized tourist resorts like Agia Marina, Perdika, and Souvala. Aègina is also surrounded by many smaller islands (Moni, Metopi, Diaportia, Lagouses, Kyra, Dorousa, Spalathonisi, Anonyma) that can be reached by boat from the port of Aegina. Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, 3 full days in Aegina Island. You will have the opportunity to explore this picturesque island of the Argosaronic gulf.

Breakfast at the hotel. Check out and transfer to the port. Embarkation to the ferry travelling back to Athens. Arrival at the port of Piraeus and transfer to your hotel in Athens. Free time and overnight (Breakfast).
