Corfu - Kefalonia - Zakynthos - 2020 Summer

Day at leisure Explore the beautiful Achilleon Palace located in the village of Gastouri, 10km south west of Corfu Town. A mansion that was built in 1891 by the emperor of Austria known as Sisi and later owned by Kaiser, Wilhelm II of Germany. You will visit the stately rooms and wander through the lush extensive gardens. Next stop is Kanoni, where you can visit the famous Mouse Island. This is a small remote island, which can be reached by taking a 5-minute boat ride. This lovely green island took its name due to its tiny size. According to mythology, this rocky island is where the god Poseidon stoned the ship of Ulysses. Overnight in Corfu

Next stop is the village of Lakones, located 4 km away from Paleokastritsa, with an altitude of 182 m. It has preserved the old spirit with its stone houses from the 18th and 19th century. Also known as Bella Vista, you will experience the most amazing views. Last stop is Corfu town where you can visit the old fortress and see the 300-year old church, St Spryridon, one of the most famous monuments on the island of Corfu. The Venetians originally built the town with narrow streets between the houses, which are known as ‘Kandounia’. The Liston Square is home to the Royal Palace of St George and St Michael built by the first British commissioner. This is a great place to relax and enjoy a coffee. Zakynthos (or Zante) is an enchanting island with great natural beauty. It is not without a reason that the Caretta-Caretta turtles have chosen some of its magnificent beaches to lay their eggs on. The most famous sightseeing in Zakynthos is the Shipwreck Beach that has taken its name from a rusty, wrecked ship that is found on shore. This beach is accessible with excursion boat that also passes from the famous Blue Caves.

You can spend this date to the beautiful beaches. In general, the island is famous for the wonderful beaches with sandy shores, such as Gerakas, Kalamaki, Agios Nikolaos, and Porto Zoro. A drive around will bring visitors to traditional villages and old monasteries.
