Abruzzo Bike & Wine Weekend 3 days

Visit: Miglianico - Crecchio - Semivicoli
An original bike tour in Italy for those who want to discover the hidden gems of this amazing country. Here we are in Abruzzo — one of most compelling, gastronomically rich regions, one of the oldest wine-growing regions in the world. Abruzzo is known for its dominant varieties, the red Montepulciano grape and the white Trebbiano d’Abruzzo grape, and for nurturing lesser-known varieties like Passerina, Cococciola, and Pecorino.
The latter is named not after the eponymous cheese but, rather, its historic tie to local shepherds (pecora means “sheep” in Italian) who were rumored to have noshed on these abundant grapes as they tended to their flocks. During our food & wine tour we'll travel along the wine and oil roads in the province of Chieti tasting these great wines in the saddle of your perfect Bianchi bicycle.
Arrival in the afternoon at the country house that will host us. Possibility to use the 18-hole golf course nearby (to book). Meeting with the guide for a briefing. Try bikes or Vespas.
Relaxation with aperitif and tasting at sunset, by the pool, with local DOC wines. Dinner
and overnight
Excursion on the Teatine hills between vineyards and nature, which will lead us to discover the history through visits of villages (Miglianico, Tollo, Canosa Sannita), castles and the village of Crecchio, a place that in 1943 hosted the Royal Family of Savoy and all High Command, during the escape to Brindisi. There will be convivial moments with visits and tastings in wineries and oil mills. Arrival in the relays in the middle of the vineyards that will host us. Relax in the pool. Dinner with tasting of home wines and overnight.
