Breakfast at hotel. Transfer to Rome railway station on your own. Leave Rome to Florence, the Cradle of the Renaissance, by rail. The train tickets will be delivered at your hotel on arrival day. Upon arrival in Florence, transfer to hotel on your own. Overnight.
Breakfast at hotel, then reach the meeting point. Today you’ll enjoy a full day regular tour driving south from Florence and crossing the beautiful Hills of Chianti. You will first reach San Gimignano, a picturesque, fascinating medieval town declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO and famous for its white wine, the world renowned “Vernaccia”. The visit is free for independent sightseeing. You will have time to wind your way through the narrow streets and to admire the relaxing landscape surrounding the village. Your day will continue to Siena, a medieval town with the suggestive Piazza del Campo famous for the Palio race. You will continue on the direction of the Duomo (outside), one of the most fascinating Italian churches in Gothic style. In the afternoon, the tour will move to the Chianti area with its impressive picture-postcard landscape and, at a famous wine estate, you will taste the best “Chianti” red wine along with home-made snacks. The tour will end in Florence city centre (railway station area). Back to hotel on your own and overnight. (B, WT)
Breakfast on your own, then reach the arranged meeting point for a whole day dedicated to the discovery of one of the most enchanting landscapes in the world. Five (cinque) villages, suspended between sea and land listed by UNESCO as a World Heritage site. Your visit will begin at daybreak, with arrival at La Spezia, where your will take a train to Riomaggiore. The village, dating from the early thirteenth century, is known for its historic character and its wine. You will then reach Manarola. Your journey will continue to Monterosso, an ancient fishing village considered the pearl of the Cinque Terre, where you will be overcome by its enchanting beaches and lush vegetation that surround the little town. Take the boat (depending on weather/sea condition) to Vernazza, a seaside town surrounding a little natural port. Lunch is included en route. In addition to comfortable clothes, we recommend having with you a swimwear and a hat to protect you against the sun. The tour will end Florence centre (Railway station area). Back to hotel on your own and overnight. (L)
