Upon arrival transfer to Rome. Check-in at hotel and balance of the day at leisure. Overnight.
After breakfast, your local guide will make you discover highlights of religious and ancient Rome: The Vatican Museums and Sistine Chapel where you’ll admire the Last Judgment and the Creation by Michelangelo, St. Peter's Square and Basilica. You will also admire the majestic Coliseum (outside) and the Roman Forum (outside). Overnight at hotel. (B)
At 07.30 am pick-up at your hotel in Rome and transfer to the meeting point to join the group, then departure to Sorrentine Peninsula. Visit of cameo factory before arriving in Pompeii, where your local guide will make you discover this ancient Roman city destroyed and buried by the eruption of Mt. Vesuvius in 79 AD. Then proceed to Sorrento. Dinner and overnight. (D)
After breakfast, transfer to the harbour and cross to the Isle of Capri, famous since Roman times and favourite vacation spot of the Emperor Tiberius and – in modern era – of many VIP. Arrive at the port of Marina Grande take the funicular up to La Piazzetta. Time at leisure to explore the Island. Return to Sorrento where you’ll have the chance to taste “Limoncello”, the liquor made from the fragrant lemon of Sorrentine Area. Dinner and overnight. (B, T, D)
Breakfast at hotel. You will have free time at leisure before heading to the port of Naples where you will board the overnight ferry to Sicily. Dinner and overnight on board. (B, D)
After disembarkation enjoy a special breakfast in the Sicilian way in a typical bar, then you’ll have a panoramic tour of Palermo before continuing to Monreale, where you will admire the Moorish-Norman Dome, famous for extensive precious byzantine mosaics. Proceed to Agrigento where dinner and overnight. (B, D)
After breakfast, you will have the opportunity to discover the Valley of Temples, the world’s largest archaeological park and UNESCO’s World Heritage Site. Then depart for a farm nearby for a tasting of Sicilian products. Proceed to Taormina and free time for shopping or a leisurely stroll along the panoramic terrace. Check in at hotel where dinner and overnight. (B, T, D)
Breakfast at hotel is followed by departure to Syracuse, for a guided visit of the archaeological park including highlights such as the Roman Amphitheatre, the Neapolis Greek Theatre and the Ear of Dionysus, an ear-shaped grotto. Free time in the afternoon. Dinner and overnight at hotel. (B, D)
After breakfast, depart for an excursion the highest active volcano in Europe, Mount Etna. Reach Rifugio Sapienza (1900 a.s.l.) where you’ll enjoy a suggestive view. Today a special Farewell Lunch of local products, will be served. Continue to Catania airport for your flight to Rome. Upon arrival in Rome, transfer to hotel nearby the airport. Overnight. (B, L)
Breakfast at hotel. Transfer to Fiumicino Airport to catch your flight back home. (B)
