This three-day safari is a perfect add-on to a Tanzanian or Kenyan Holiday. There are daily flights from Nairobi’s Jomo Kenyatta airport and three flights weekly from Tanzania’s Kilimanjaro International Airport. An ideal package for family and friends. This is a small group package tour with a minimum of 06 guests booking. Rates are available on request for a private tour for 02 guests as well

Upon arrival into Kigali, you are met and transferred to Virunga Conservation area (approximately 2.5 hours’ drive). If time permits, visit the markets, villages and local communities (at an extra cost) or an optional visit to the little known by compellingly beautiful twin lakes Bulera and Ruhondo (payable directly). Overnight at Gorilla Mountain View Lodge Dinner included.

Morning transfer to the Volcanoes National Park offices. Briefing by the park's guides on how to behave in the forest and in the presence of mountain gorillas. You then transfer over mildly bumpy roads to the trail head to start the trek. From the trail head, there is a 10-21 minute walk through fields (cultivated land) to edge of forest. Here you enter the park for a gorilla trek which will take you until around midday depending on where you find them. Once the gorillas are located all fatigue is forgotten, as the experience is often described as being the most profound natural history experience in the world. It is important to take plenty of water. Good cameras and plenty of fast speed film or memory cards are recommended. It can rain at a few minutes’ notice, hence waterproof clothing is a good essential including zip lock bags for cameras and film. After the trek, lunch will be at your hotel. After lunch you will return to Kigali for overnight. Overnight at Park Inn Breakfast and lunch included.

After breakfast, you are transferred to Kigali Airport to connect for your onward flight. Breakfast incliuded.

Please note that once you confirm the itinerary, the Gorilla Permits are non-refundable and non-changeable. This is already added to the tour cost. Correct passport details including passport numbers are required to issue permits.

Passengers should bring only soft sided bags on safaris.

All the passengers must have Identification Card/Passport with them for internal flights.

Baggage on internal flights is strictly limited to 15kgs per person (including hand luggage). Any excess baggage will be charged by the airline at check-in

Travel in Rwanda is in short wheelbase 4x4 vehicles seating 6 passengers and the driver. This includes a passenger next to the driver and a passenger in the middle rear seat. Should travellers prefer to have more space, we suggest you consider the option of two vehicles when there are 6 travellers in a booking.
