iSimangaliso Wetland Park is officially the first world heritage site in South Africa. This place of wonder is situated on the north coast of KwaZulu Natal and stretches from the small village of St Lucia in the South to the border of Mozambique in the North.
A night drive experience cannot be explained, as the experience is completely different from a day safari a whole new world of Animal species (Nocturnal) await you, see how the guides find the smallest of creatures especially Chameleons or the elusive Leopard, Giraffe, Buffalo, Elephants, Hippos grazing..
Advantage of a night drive is that they provide access to nocturnal species that are rarely seen during the day, such as Hippo, Bush Babies, Chameleons, Aardvarks and Leopard are also more active after dark, and there is a greater probability of seeing them hunt at night.

Hluhluwe / iMfolozi Game Drive – Shared
05:00 Meet your Ranger and depart for a game drive in the Hluhluwe/Imfolozi Game drive
Hluhluwe- Imfolozi Game Reserve is one of the oldest and best reserves in South Africa and famous for saving the endangered Black Rhino
The Hluhluwe-iMfolozi Park lies in the heart of “old Zululand” and is rich in history dating back to the early Iron Age and the hey-day of the Zulu Kingdom of King Shaka. The Park contains many historic sites. This fascinating game reserve covers 96 000 ha and is comprised of the Hluhluwe and iMfolozi Game Reserves. The Corridor Game Reserve, established in 1989, links the two older parks.
This Park is home to the Big 5: lion, Leopard, Elephant, Buffalo and Rhino, as well as a host of other animals. Great game and bird viewing potential and spectacular scenery make for a great safari.
6:00 Aboard our Open Game Drive Vehicle and you are off to go in search of the Big 5, Cheetah and Wild Dog to name but just a few of the incredible species found within the reserve.

After breakfast at the hotel .Meet your English Speaking Guide and transfer 4km just outside St Lucia to a local Zulu Village where you will enjoy and experience the local Zulu Culture shared.
Zulu Cultural Dancing, folk stories and bead making are but just a few of the other exciting experiences that you will enjoy
You will also see how the Zulu's build their traditional Rondavels and learn why this style of homestead is still in use today.
The location gives you the opportunity to study the customs and rites of traditional Zulu life, from the lobola (brides price) to the fortune tellings and magic of the Sangoma (traditional healer).
Get the opportunity to see the creation of the amazing Zulu handicrafts, Boy in traditional Zulu warrior outfit like their beadwork, grass baskets, mats, walking sticks and much more. Of course you will also get the chance to experience the life of the modern Zulus.Lunch in St Lucia (on own account).Later in the Afternoon enjoy a Boat Cruise on the St Lucia Estuary shared.St Lucia Estuary is a place of beauty with many attractions and animal wildlife. The estuary is 85km long and 22km at the widest area, making one of Africa's largest estuary and an ecological wonder teeming with life. The rich fauna and flora add to the experience of the area with mesmerizing views and unique interactions with the wildlife.
The St Lucia Estuary is home to 800 hippopotamuses and 1200 Nile Crocodile, not forgetting over 520 bird species, from the iconic Fish Eagle to the Kingfisher adding the ambiance of the African experience.
This is A bird lovers paradise and only 54km away lies the Mkuze game reserve which is known to be South Africa's best bird-watching havens. St Lucia Estuary goes up towards an area called Charters Creek, This area previously almost dry due to drought that hit the estuary for almost 2 years, it has now been rehabilitated by the Umfolozi River, causing the water levels to rise to lead into St Lucia Estuary and once again offers spectacular sightings of Flamingos and other species of birdlife

The area is enormous however offers incredible biodiversity from area to area. The South (St Lucia) offers a good base from where to explore as one may encounter Hippos wandering the streets at night in the residential area to the odd Leopard that frequents the area as well. St Lucia is truly a wildlife paradise with numerous species found both within and bordering the town
The Tour includes game viewing en route to Cape Vidal a protected bay where one has the opportunity of enjoying some magnificent snorkelling. (weather & tide dependant) The bay offers some exquisite fish species.
En route you will enjoy numerous wildlife species and may even include species such as Leopard, Buffalo, Rhino, Kudu, Water Buck and much more, this diverse landscape includes the second-highest vegetated sand dunes in the world, mangroves, forest, and open grassland.

From the entrance to Cape-Vidal Bay is approx 28 km once at Cape Vidal you will have an opportunity to enjoy some snorkeling or for those wanting to just enjoy the warm sun why not relax on the untouched beach.

Post lunch we travel back towards St Lucia, once again you will have an opportunity to witness some more incredible wildlife. Keep an eye out for those Leopards!. Overnight stay
