Visit: Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary - Murchison Falls-

At 7 00 am: depart for Masindi, via the Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary.The sanctuary has been established to breed black and white rhino which got extinct in the country due to heavy poaching in the early 80s.Presently the sanctuary is home to twenty two (22) southern white rhinos. The sanctuary has become increasingly popular with for Rhino Trekking, Shoebill Trek and Canoe Ride, Bird Watching, Night Walk, Nature Walk and Relaxation.Lunch at the sanctuary and post lunch proceed to Murchison Falls National Park .Named after the dramatic Murchison Falls, which were christened by Sir Samuel Baker; Uganda’s Murchison Falls National Park is the country’s largest protected wildlife sanctuary. A wonderful tapestry of natural landscapes awaits visitors to the park. Here, the mighty Nile River bisects flourishing savannahs, flanked by lush riverine woodlands, before bursting through a chasm in the Rift Valley escarpment to form the raging Murchison Falls. Wildlife enthusiasts can expect to see great pods of hippo and immense rafts of crocodile in-and-around the Nile as well as an array of exceptional water birds. Other fascinating wildlife include the rare Rothschild giraffe, lion, various antelope species, buffalo, leopard and spotted hyena. We go via the Top of the falls for magnificent views of the falls from the top, later proceed to your lodge Rest of the day at leisure,Dinner at the lodge with overnight stay

At 6 00am: enjoy an early morning game drive to look for the big five and their prey. Before sunrise, they hunt as we hunt for them. The lion, the elusive leopard, the laughing hyena, the silent elephant, the aggressive buffalos all share this park and struggle for survival. It’s survival of the fittest. If we are lucky we shall see them all. The warthogs and antelopes, as well as the giraffes are all out hiding in the tall savanna grass. Return to the lodge for breakfast. Return to the lodge for lunch . At 2:00pm, you will take a boat ride up the river to the bottom of Murchison Falls. Hippos, crocodiles, buffaloes and other animals in search of water will be your hosts. This cruise is also great for bird viewing and photography.Dinner at the lodge with over night stay.
