You will land at the Mariscal Sucre international airport, on the east side of the capital.
There, you will meet your driver who will welcome you in his country and will accompany you to your hotel.
To be steeped in the local atmosphere, you will stay in the heart of Quito historical center, between cobbled streets and colonial monuments.
In order to fully appreciate the beauty of Quito’s historical center, the largest and better preserved of Latin America, there is nothing like crossing it by foot.
During your walk in the pedestrian streets, you will admire the wonders of this Unesco World Heritage, its beautiful churches and monasteries museums, lively squares…
You will contemplate the exceptional setting in which the capital is during your climbing to the Panecillo hill.
After your lunch, you will join la Mitad del Mundo, on the equinoctial line and you will be able to confirm the truthfulness of the different properties ascribed to the equator. Try to keep an egg in equilibrium on a nail or ask someone to take a photo of you with one foot in each hemisphere.
Right on your arrival at Baltra airport, you will start off towards the giant turtle’s ranch of Santa Cruz. It welcomes different endemic species of this reptile that can weight up to 300kg for 1.5 meter in width.
You will as of now learn more about the history of the Island and of the Archipelago and of its unique biodiversity.
You will then be transferred to your hotel to spend your first night on this legendary archipelago.
In the morning, you will leave for a bay tour. You will thus see several highlights such as the “de los Alemanes” beach, the salt mines and “Las Grietas”. Recommended for swimming and snorkeling, the bay is renowned for its clear waters.
Thereby, during your excursion, you will be able to snorkel to make the most of this wonderful place by observing as closely as possible the under-water fauna.
Once dried and back to Puerto Ayora port, you will get on a small boat for a second boat trip, towards the Isabela Island, where you will spend your second night.
You will leave Isabela in the morning for a few hours to go not far from its shores, towards the “Tintoreras” islands.
A few minutes only from Puerto Villamil, are found these islands, named this way because they welcome in their surroundings numerous small sharks. But these are not the only animals that you will have the chance to see.
Indeed, this mini rocky archipelago gathers a great number of species into its midst, from sea turtles to iguanas, through sea lions and penguins.
Getting back on Isabela, after these discoveries, you will have the opportunity to walk around, swim, and relax, at your convenience.
You will go back to sea to join the first island, Santa Cruz, where you will then be free to visit the latter according to your own interests.
You will be able to enjoy the port town at your own pace, shop, visit the Charles Darwin station, or just relax on one of the many beaches of the island.
Your first night being inland to enjoy the nature the island offers at its heart, you will spend your last night on the archipelago in a hotel, this time, closer to the port, to have the chance to enjoy another aspect of the island.
After a good night sleep looking back on the time spent on the archipelago and a tasty breakfast, you will be accompanied to Baltra airport to join the mainland.
