Don’t miss a visit to this “underground village,” an intricate network of more than 200km (125 miles) of Cu Chi District, 75km (46 miles) from Ho Chi Minh City. Explore a short segment of this labyrinth of interlaced tunnels; you will be amazed by the tunnels’ numerous branches connecting to underground hideouts and shelters, before testing your marksmanship with an AK-47 rifle at local rifle range (optional). Drive back to Saigon. Lunch on the way at local restaurant. In the afternoon, the city tour will take you around Vietnam’s busiest city, from downtown to Chinatown. You will get to know Saigon’s history and culture with stops at the Reunification Palace and Thien Hau Temple. You will not only learn about the past but also get a glimpse of the daily life of street vendors at the Binh Tay Market and see other places of interests such as Notre Dame Cathedral and the Municipal Post Office. You can stop over at a well-known lacquer workshop to pick up some unique gifts for your loved ones. Transfer back to the hotel. Overnight in Saigon.

We depart from your hotel at 8am. We drive out of the metropolis to reach after about 2 and a half hour a less travelled region of the delta, about 30 kilometers away from the mouth of the mighty river. We hop on our private boat and start our exploration. We will meet people, learn more about their daily lives and navigate the Mekong. After visiting a local factory and an ancient communal house, we reach a small island for lunch at a local guesthouse. In the afternoon, we visit a honey-bee farm before hoping on bikes and cycling narrow pathways across the island. We stop at another local farm to unveil the secret of Sâm jelly and sample it. We continue across orchards and transfer onto a small sampan to explore a thick mangrove. We return to the mainland, where our vehicle awaits for a drive back to Ho Chi Minh city. We arrive at your hotel in the late afternoon.
