Today, let’s discover the classics of Phnom Penh and go beyond to unveil some lesser known corners of the city. We start in the morning with the visit of the National Museum and the silver Pagoda / Royal Palace (please note that long pants and sleaves are required). We then head to the central market, explore its colorful stalls and taste several of the numerous streetfood dishes offered around. An insightful way to have lunch and to live a slice of pure local life. In the afternoon we go visit the Genocide Museum. A very interesting visit, that can be heartbreaking somehow, but that allows to better understand contemporary Cambodia and to keep us aware of how horrible and inhumane the past can be. To chill out and decompress, we suggest to end the day in style with a nice walk along the Mekong and a cocktail at Le Moon rooftop lounge with a scenic view over the River. Evening at leisure. Overnight in Phnom Penh. Meals:(B/L/-)

We start our journey across Cambodia today. It is an approximate 5-hour drive from Phnom Penh to reach Battambang, a rich agricultural province considered as the bowl of rice of Cambodia. En route we stop around the Kampong Chhnang province. A first time to visit the potters of the region and discover their incredible talent at making ceramic products. A second time to embark on the Tonle Sap lake and explore Ponley floating village. We arrive in Battambang in the late afternoon, check-in at the hotel and evening at leisure. Meals:(B/L/-)

This morning we first head for a visit of the local market. This will give you an overview of the large array of products cultivated across the province. The rest of the morning will see you ride a bamboo platform train, pretty fun activity, and give you a pre-taste of Angkorian temples at Wat Ek Phnom temple. In the afternoon, we go visit the one and only vineyard and winery of Cambodia before ending on the heights of Phnom Sampeau mount to enjoy a scenic view over the countryside. We are back at the hotel in the afternoon. End of the day at leisure Meals:(B/L/D)

Easy morning, we hit the road after breakfast for an about 3-hour journey to Siem Reap. We drop the luggage at the hotel and go stretch our legs a bit on a nice walk along the streets of the town. The guide will show you places like restaurants, spas, the market, Pub Street, etc. and take you for lunch. In the afternoon, free time. Option: Transfer by boat from Battambang to Siem Reap across the Tonle Sap lake. The ride takes you across beautiful sceneries, it lasts about 6 hours during the high waters season, 9 hours when waters are low. Option: If you choose the car transfer and would like to keep the guide for the entire afternoon, we propose you to visit the Angkor National Museum and to go pay a visit to the craftsmen at the Artisans D’Angkor workshop, where traditional crafting techniques are preserved and transmitted to younger generations. Meals:(B/L/-)

Today morning is dedicated to the discovery of Angkor masterpiece. To travel around the temples complex, no better mean than a good local tuk-tuk. Let’s explore Angkor Wat, easily the most famous and best-preserved of all temples within the Angkor complex. It is a massive three-tiered structure crowned by five lotus-like towers rising 65 meters from ground level. We take the time to discover it in depth before heading to a less traveled corner of the complex where we enjoy a nice picnic lunch. In the afternoon, we travel around the rural side of Siem Reap by vintage army Jeep. The countryside is too often ignored by travelers while it offers quaint atmosphere and loads of opportunities to witness daily rural life and to exchange with locals. We get back to the hotel in the late afternoon, the guide will hand you some tickets to go see the renowned Phare Circus Show. Meals:(B/L/-)

In the morning, we depart to Banteay Srei. It is a one-hour drive to the so-called citadel of women made of red sandstone magnificently carved, the jewel of Khmer art. On our drive back to Siem Reap, we stop at a local village to take part in a reforestation program. We will meet a friendly family of farmers and go with them plant some trees. A meaningful activities that also allows us to step out of the temples for a while and live a direct interaction with the people around Angkor. In the afternoon we visit the ancient city of Angkor Thom, surrounded by an 8m high wall. Angkor Thom was the last capital of the Great Khmer Empire under the reign of Jayavarman VII. We continue to Bayon Temple in the exact centre of the city. This 12th century masterpiece is a study in grandeur, its exterior gallery walls featuring extensive, superb bas-reliefs, particularly the East and South Galleries. We also see the Ta Prohm Temple, unlike most other Angkor temples, has been left just it was when rediscovered: a photogenic and atmospheric maze of trees growing out of temple ruins amidst jungle surroundings, making it one of Angkor's most popular temples with visitors. Back at the hotel in the late afternoon, evening at leisure. Meals:(B/L/-)

Morning at leisure until the driver picks you up and drives you to the airport to catch a flight to Sihanoukville. You are welcomed upon arrival and transferred to the heart of the wild Cardamom Mountains. It is an approximate 2.5-hour drive to the North and the lands of the Trapeang Rung’s community. Freshen up at the lodge’s lounge before embarking for the hour’s trip over the Preak Tachan River to the hidden Cardamom Tented Camp. Make yourself comfortable into your private safari-style tent. The remaining time of the day, you may follow the guide on an exploratory hike in the jungle around the camp. The diversity of the fauna will amaze you. Later on, chill at the riverside restaurant as the sun sets over Botum Sakor. Dinner and overnight at Cardamom Tented Camp. Meals:(B/-/D)

After an early breakfast, Wildlife Alliance Rangers will meet us and together with an English speaking guide embark on patrol over a network of abandoned poaching and logging trails through the dense forest. Keep your eyes peeled for wildlife, like Macaque, Gibbon or Hornbill. The half day trip will stop by the Ranger Station, where confiscated snares, traps and improvised hunting rifles are on display. After taking lunch at the station, use one of the kayaks, or hike back to the camp. Dinner and overnight at Cardamom Tented Camp Meals:(B/L/D)

At about 10am, we embark on the boat to return to Trapeang Rung where our vehicle awaits. We drive to the coast and Sihanoukville to indulge some lazy time by the sea before ending our tour. Check-in at a comfortable resort. End of the day at leisure. Meals:(B/-/-)

Full day at leisure to enjoy the clear waters and sandy beach of Sihanoukville. Meals:(B/-/-)

A driver picks you up and takes you on a 4-hour drive to Phnom Penh’s airport for your departure flight. Meals:(B/-/-)
