Winter Wonderland 6 days

After breakfast enjoy a two-hour snowmobile safari. The snowmobile safari takes you to the small ski village of Saariselkä situated approximately ten kilometers away. Transfer by private vehicle from the hotel to the safari office. At the safari office you will receive full equipment, to include – thermal suit, boots, socks, gloves, balaclava and helmet. When everybody is ready the safari trail begins with a drive up to the beautiful Kaunispää fell, 436m above sea level. At the top of the fell you can enjoy the magnificent views of the area below. The trail then continues through the beautifully mystical forest. This safari excursion is two hours long and includes an en-route coffee break. Two persons share one snowmobile and take turns in driving or you can request one for sole occupancy at a supplementary cost.

After breakfast, enjoy a full day cross country skiing, in the beautiful Urho Kekkonen National Park. Hotel Kakslauttanen is ideally situated for cross-country skiing. The entire Saariselkä area has a combined trail distance of over 200kms and there are varying degrees of trails from family ones to competition and technique trails to nature trails and illuminated trails. The illuminated trail passes by the hotel and is open from 06.00 – 22.00hrs every day.

After breakfast you will travel by bus from Kakslauttanen to Rovanieni, where you will be picked up and transferred to the Arctic Treehouse hotel, your accommodation for the coming two nights. The concept of Arctic Tree House Hotel has its roots in fragile arctic nature, the fairytale-like world of SantaPark, and northern culture and heritage. The hotel consists of individual accommodation units covered by wooden shingles and standing on tall poles between the trees. Appearing to wander down the hill and curiously peeking at the landscape and sky, they blend into their environment effortlessly. After check-in you can use the rest of the day to explore Rovaniemi, enjoy your unique accommodation and experience its nature activities such as reindeer safaris, husky safaris and snow mobile safaris. After breakfast you have the full day to explore the ‘capital’ of Finnish Lapland. Don’t miss the opportunity of visiting the Santa Claus village. There is allot to see and do in Rovaniemi from simply enjoying your surroundings or partaking in fun filled adventures.

After breakfast, say goodbye to Apukka and transfer to Rovaniemi airport.
