Tea Route

Awaken your five senses as you discover the making of teas, rum & vanilla... You will visit the “Domaine des Aubineaux”, a colonial house built in 1872, in a lush garden in the high lands and which used to the the house of the owners of a main tea plantation. The tour will continue to Bois Chéri tea factory. Walk through the process of tea making and visit the museum. You will also enjoy the different variety of teas produced at the chalet with a panorama overlooking a pond and the south of the island. You will then move further South to Saint Aubin, built in 1819, this colonial house has been converted into a table d’hôte where Mauritian lunch will be served. In the garden, you have the typical rum distillery to see with possibility of tasting, the vanilla & anthurium flower greenhouse and the vanilla house allowing you to buy some of this exquisite spice Activity Time- 09h00 to 16h00 (For all hotels from the north & east pick up time will be at 08:30). Monday to Saturday, Factory opens on Wednesday , during winter & Monday to Friday during summer
