Taste of San Juan River Expedition

San Juan River, also known as El Desaguadero ("the drain"), is a wild river expedition of a 199 kilometre (120 mi) river that flows east out of Lake Nicaragua into the Caribbean Sea. A large section of the border between Nicaragua and Costa Rica runs on the right (southern) bank of the river. It was part, with the lake, of a proposed route for a Nicaragua Canal in the 19th century. The San Juan River is home to freshwater bull sharks that also go into Lake Nicaragua in addition to a wide array of marine life and abundant biodiversity. It is property of Nicaragua and it’s the perfect place for fishing and nature lovers.

1530 hrs. Public boat transfer from San Carlos to El Castillo (2 hours). 1730 hrs. Arrival to El Castillo, Check-in. 1830 hrs. Alligator Night Observation tour. Accommodation at El Castillo, Rio San Juan.
