Upon arrival at Kuching International Airport (please advise flight details). You will be met by our local representative at the arrival hall, transfer to hotel for check-in, rest & relax. Overnight at your choice of hotel accommodation.

Breakfast at hotel. 0700 hrs, pick up from hotel and begin a 4-5 hours journey to Batang Ai passing through scenic countryside consisting of quaint little towns, villages, paddy fields, pepper and oil palm plantations interspersed with secondary and virgin jungle as the road starts to wind and undulate as you go deeper into the interior. Stop for lunch at Lachau, a small town on the way to the resort. Arrive at Batang Ai Hydro Lake, continue for an approximately 3 hours boat ride takes you across the deep blue water of the lake and up the narrow Batang Ai River, past rugged hillsides dotted with rice fields and Pepper gardens to Jambu Longhouse. After settling down, visit this 10 door longhouse and learn all about this “entire village under 1 roof.” Accommodation for the night is at the Longhouse and after dinner join the longhouse resident for a glass or two of tuak (rice wine). The Iban are a fun-loving people, and visitors may join in the activities that are going on in the Longhouse! Overnight at Jambu Longhouse (or similar).

Breakfast at the Longhouse. Depart the longhouse for 3 days / 2 nights trekking deep into the heart of Borneo, accompanied by experienced Iban trackers. The trek takes you into the remote Batang Ai National Park, near the Indonesian border, between 900 and 1600 m above sea level. The area is home to a large population of wild orang utan, there is a good possibility of an encounter with one of these “men of the forest.” Other wildlife and fascinating plant life are also abundant. Continue trekking and exploring the rainforest, observing at close hand the unique flora and fauna that populate the remarkable ecosystem, and learning how to survive in the jungle. Overnight in the jungle. Overnight in tents or makeshift shelters constructed from leaves and branches.

After breakfast in the jungle depart by longboat downriver and across the lake to the jetty. Return to Kuching via the same route as Day 2 with lunch stop enroute. Overnight at your choice of hotel accommodation.

Breakfast at hotel. Check-out from hotel by 1200hrs, transfer to Kuching International Airport for your departure flight to onwards destination (please advise flight details).

- Our rates to you are inclusive of SST. However, should the government revise SST and its terms, GGTS reserves the right to revise the rates accordingly.
- With the current and exceptional increase in fuel charges, please note the transportation costs including the cost of fuel chargeable for tours and transfers services may change again between the date of receipt of quotation and the date of travel. Since all these costs are beyond our control, thus prices are subject to further fuel and related
